was such a moving experience and a true testimony to how vital and necessary it is to continue in the tradition of being artists for true change and evolution. art that activates, inspires, questions, that breaks cycles, makes us uncomfortable, celebrates and documents our story and makes the world a brighter place.

Worklab Satellites

As a complement to Witness, visitors are invited to create art using our WorkLAB Satellites, an ongoing installation intended to augment the Blanton’s educational programming. Through prompts, activities, and the art-making process, visitors reflect on their own experience of identity, race, and community. Once the artwork is completed, Blanton volunteers photograph and upload the work to a tumblr that documents all of the WorkLAB Satellite creations. View more art inspired by Witness here.
